DAMN- Kendrik Lamar
The biggest album this year, it took the number one spot as soon as it shelves in April. It quickly moved ahead of other albums, and within the year, more than 1.5 units have been sold. It consists of 14 tracks, the most famous being Blood, and DNA. It received widespread claim thanks to elements of trap, pop and R&B infused with Conscious Rap. It has been nominated for BET Hip Hop Award for Best Album of the Year.
÷ (Divide)-Ed Sheeran
Beating all odds when it comes to best-selling albums , Divide was released earlier this year on 3rd March. It consists of 12 tracks, with the most famous being Shape of You, and Castle on the Hill. These were issued on 6 January right at the start. It received a Platinum rating just in month after its release, and Shape of You remains one of the most streamed song this year. The album retained number one position in many countries including US, UK, Mexico, and others.
24k Magic- Bruno Mars
Officially it debuted on November 2016, but it’s still going strong. Bruno Mars won hearts with his Third Studio Album. Continuing with Soul and Fun, Mars has infused elements of R&B. It remained at top of R&B, and Hip Hop charts for 21 weeks. The album has sold over 2 million units in the US alone, still remains a hit. Though it doesn’t top as the most streamed music on popular channel, but it left its mark.
